Advanced Rope Bowl Class 3/15/25

A rope bowl is a decorative and functional item made by coiling and stitching together lengths of rope, creating a sturdy container that’s perfect for holding small household items like keys, fruit, or even as a stylish storage solution. You will need GENERAL CLASS SUPPLIES, as well as a zig-zag foot with a good visual center for guiding rope. Supplies for the class that are available at the store: synthetic clothesline rope, 1/4 yard of fabric (if you want to cover your rope), thread to match fabric/rope, heavy duty machine needle 90/14, small 6" ruler or tape measure, heat erasable marking tool and stiletto/or tweezers/or chopstick). Optional book: Zigzag Rope Sewing Projects by Katherine Lyle. Items for class not available at the store are: cellophane tape, embellishments (buttons, charms, etc) and glue stick. The $50 fee is for the class only. Supplies bought for the class at our store are 20% off.
Hometown Quilt Embroidery Class 3/29/25!

Hometown Quilt Machine Embroidery by Lori Holt is a delightful project that allows quilters to create beautiful quilt blocks and sashing completely In-the-Hoop using their embroidery machines. The project uses the stitch and flip and machine applique techniques. Learn how to make this beautiful Embroidery with Mary Ann! You will need to purchase the pattern on USB ($90), and kit ($TBD) you will get 20% off. Mary Anne will put a kit together for the class. The $50 fee is for the class only. Call the shop with any questions 727-733-8572. You do need to have general knowledge of how to use your machine and will need to bring it in for the class. You will need a 6" x 10" hoop or larger.

Beginner Paper Piecing Class New York Beauty 4/19/25!
The New York Beauty block is known for its intricate design and striking visual impact. This block is created using foundation paper piecing, which allows for precise and accurate piecing of the intricate design. It also features sharp points and smooth curves. You will create one block with Mary Ann during the class. Supplies needed are the Paper Piecing with Alex Anderson Book, three 1/4 yard pieces, for the arc, points and center, and a 1/2 yard piece for the background. The $40 fee is for the class only.
Inktense Class Coming Soon

Learn to dye your own fabrics using Derwent's Inktense Pencils. They are known for their vibrant, ink-like colors that become permanent once dry. These pencils are perfect for creating vivid, translucent washes of color and are highly versatile for different art projects. You can use them dry for detailed work or add water to create a more fluid, watercolor effect. We will provide Practice fabrics (2 Fat Quarters), fabric mediums and brushes. The Inktense Pencils will be purchased separately, they come in a variety of quantities (if purchased for the class you will get 20% off). The $35 will be class fee only., with some materials provided, see above. The only thing you need to bring is your pencils!
Up-Cycle Jean Jacket Class Coming Soon




Bring in an old jean jacket (or go to the thrift store to buy a "new to you " jacket and up-cycle to create a one-of-a-kind jacket! This will be a fun Friday night class with Marian! You will need GENERAL SUPPLIES, see General Supply page and a heavy duty needle (90 or 100). As always any general supplies, specialty supplies or fabric for the class, will be 20% off if bought at our store.
KISS Apron Class Coming Soon
Our first KISS (Keep It Simple Saturday) series of the year, this is a perfect class for beginners, children or for anyone who wants to get back into sewing. Make a Spring, Mother's/Father's Day, Patriotic, B-B-Q, or any other themed apron you can think of! You will need GENERAL SUPPLIES, see classes page. This project uses 1 yard of fabric for main body, 1/2 yard for pocket and strings, fabric marking pen, edge presser foot (optional), and 1" bias tape maker (optional). You will also need the book, The School of Sewing, Learn It, Teach It, Sew Together, by Shea Henderson ($24.95), this book has 12 projects, and we will use it for several of our KISS classes. If supplies are purchased from us for this class, you will receive a 20% discount. The $30 fee is for class only.
Zelda Collage Coming Soon
Learn how to collage quilt with Marian. Supplies needed: a kit $75.95-fabric and pattern. Small Rotary Mat, Karen K Buckley Scissors (or scissors of your choice), at least 2.5 yards of 12" wide Steam-a-Seam 2, #2 Pencil or fine point marker/pen, Applique Pressing Sheet, an iron and a small pressing mat. Optional: Fuse Mat. We will have these supplies available in the shop, and as always when you buy them for a class, they will be 20% off. You will need to come to the store for pre-class prep or call Marian/Leslie at the store 727-733-8572. The class fee is $35. No Sewing Machine.
Jack Collage Coming Soon
Learn how to collage quilt with Marian. Supplies needed: a kit $124.95-fabric and pattern ($99.95 fabric only), Small Rotary Mat, Karen K Buckley Scissors (or scissors of your choice), a yard of Pattern Ease foundation, at least 5 yards of 24" wide Steam-a-Seam 2, #2 Pencil or fine point marker/pen, Applique Pressing Sheet, an iron and a small pressing mat. Make an adorable table topper, with Mary Ann! Choose Halloween, Christmas or your favorite colors, the possibilities are endless! The cost of the class is $30. Materials needed 4-6 coordinating Fat Quarters, 60 degree ruler and General Sewing Supplies,. As always any supplies you buy for the class is 20% off.

One Block Wonder Class coming soon.
The One-Block Wonder technique is a unique quilting method that creates stunning kaleidoscope designs using a single fabric panel. Hexagons will create a beautiful kaleidoscope effect, with the design appearing to radiate out from the center. One of the great things about this technique is that it doesn't require any Y-seams, making it accessible even for intermediate quilters. Each quilt made using this technique is one-of-a-kind, as the arrangement of the triangles and the choice of fabric create unique visual effects
