Simplicity 3205 is the ultimate beginner friendly pattern for creating comfortable, customizable unisex lounge pants. Perfect for relaxing at home, gifting, or sewing matching sets for the whole family, these pants are quick to cut, easy to sew, and fun to personalize with your favorite fabrics. In this class, taught by Joan, students will learn how to read a garment pattern, sew clean seams, create an elastic waistband, and achieve a great fit. With multiple size options included, this project is ideal for confident beginners and a relaxing make for experienced sewists. You will need your serger (no sewing machine), the Simplicity 3205 Pattern, tape measure, 6" metal measuring guide, 1" elastic (enough to go around your waist + 4"), 1 serger thread to match fabric color, the other 3 serger threads to blend and fabric using this formula: Measure waist to hem ___+ 5" = ___" x 2=___"/36"= ___ yards to purchase (come in if you need help)! Wash and dry your fabric prior to class. (Hint: Serge cut edge of fabric before washing and drying to prevent fraying). Cost of the class is $30, plus Supplies.
